Deciding whether or not to take a project can be difficult. Every project should give the designer two of these three things:
Love: The designer loves the project. It’s fun, they are passionate about, it simply is enjoyable.
Time: The designer has a lot of time on their hands. It may not be the ideal project, but it beats doing nothing.
Money: It pays well.
Don’t believe me?
Love and Time: The project doesn’t pay well, but the client is great, and the design has nothing but free time.
Love and Money: The designers schedule is a little tight, but they love the possibilities of the project, and better yet, they love that paycheck.
Time and Money: Free time and a decent chunk of money can make up for an uninspired project.
